extinction n. a condition of distinction for the extinguished, caused by being friendlier and tastier than one´s neighbours, or by having an appetite exceeding one´s intelligence (see dinosaur, Roman Empire, Elvis). Arguably preferable to the alternative, domestication (see chicken, service worker), the advantage being that the extinct are not worried by their condition.
